	Coordinate with the event planner in ensuring that practical security measures are incorporated as a fundamental element of the planning process
	Prevent unwelcome intrusions by anyone uninvited, unauthorized or otherwise unwelcome, and remove those inappropriate guests
	Liaise with local law enforcement
	Protect valuables and other property
	Utilize bomb-sniffing canines where appropriate
